TG4 is set to deliver a thrilling lineup of live sports this Christmas season, ensuring fans of Rugby, GAA, and Ladies Football won’t miss a moment of the action. From the hard-hitting clashes of the United Rugby Championship to the passion of the AIB Club Championships, TG4 remains the home of live sport over the festive period.
United Rugby Championship
TG4’s Christmas coverage kicks off with five live URC games, promising intense interprovincial rivalries and top-tier South African derbies.
- December 20: Ulster vs Munster
- December 21: South African Derby Double Header: Stormers v Lions / Sharks v Bulls
- December 27: Munster vs Leinster – the festive season’s must-watch showdown
- December 28: Stormers vs Sharks
Whether it’s Irish pride or international prestige, URC fans will have plenty to cheer for.
AIB GAA Club Championships
As the AIB Hurling Championship reaches the semi-final stage, TG4 will bring viewers two senior hurling showdowns live on December 15:
- Sleacht Néill (Derry) vs Sarsfields (Cork)
- Na Fianna (Dublin) vs Loughrea (Galway)
All Junior and Intermediate All-Ireland semi-finals will also be streamed live on Spórt TG4’s YouTube channel over that weekend.
The Gaelic football semi-finals take centre stage on January 5, with senior action including:
- Cuala (Dublin) vs Coolera-Strandhill (Sligo)
- Dr Crokes (Kerry) vs Errigal Ciarán (Tyrone)

AIB Ladies Football Club Finals
TG4 continues its strong commitment to Ladies Football with live coverage of all three club finals:
