TG4 is thrilled to announce seven days of live handball coverage for the highly anticipated 2024 oneills.com World 4-Wall Championships. From Monday, October 28th, viewers can tune in to the Spórt TG4 YouTube page for a full week of thrilling handball action. The championships will take place from October 26th to November 3rd across multiple venues in Leinster, with the Senior Finals scheduled for Sunday, November 3rd at the National Handball Centre in Croke Park.
 
The 2024 World 4-Wall Championship is set to be the largest standalone 4-wall event ever hosted, featuring 1,675 entries and 1,900 games scheduled from u11 to the elite open players. Matches will take place across 25 courts in venues including Kilkenny, Carlow, Laois, Offaly, Kildare, Wicklow, and Wexford. Elite players from five countries—USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, and Ireland—will compete, with reigning champions Martin Mulkerrins (Galway) returning to defend his title.
 
TG4’s live coverage will come from the Croke Park showing action from the showcourt as well as courts 2 and 3 court each day. We anticipate more than 100 hours of live handball will be shown over the course of the 7 days of action, culminating in the Open Finals on Sunday the November 3rd.

In addition to the live coverage, TG4 will broadcast a special one-hour highlights show on Sunday November 10th at 6pm, showcasing the best moments from the 2024 World 4-Wall Championships. This fully fledged highlights programme will capture the excitement and intensity of the competition, providing fans with a comprehensive recap of the event.
 
Furthermore, highlights of the open finals will be featured on GAA 2024 on Monday November 4th at 8pm, offering viewers a chance to relive the key moments from the championship matches.
 
TG4 will also broadcast a special one-hour documentary entitled Liathróid Láimhe for the centenary celebrations of GAA Handball. The programme follows the 2024 All-Ireland Four Wall championship season and includes footage from clubs all around the country, plus interviews with some of GAA Handball’s most famous faces. Liathróid Láimhe airs on October 28th at 6pm and is repeated on Sunday November 3rd at 5.55pm.
