Brand new shows as Gaeilge on TG4's Cúla4 this January

Cúla4 on TG4 is the one-stop shop for all things Gaeilge and fun for younger viewers.  This January, new programmes for both pre-school children and younger viewers are available on-air and on the Cúla4 app and Cula4.com. Rainy days are sorted, and they will also pick up a cúpla focail as they watch. 
 
PJ MASKS (New Episodes) – Weekdays 3:20pm 

PJ Masks is a firm favourite with pre-schoolers.  Watch PJ Masks as Gaeilge every day on Cúla4.
The PJ Masks is a show about heroism. Super-heroism. Only our superheroes are kids!
By day, 6 year olds Connor, Amaya and Greg go to school like everyone else. But when something goes awry in the city, these special kids, filled with curiosity and a sense of justice get ready for their mission – but they have to wait until night fall when the city is asleep and they can go un-detected. They magically transform into superheroes – Catboy, Owlette and Gekko and become the PJ Masks! 
Together the trio of heroes, Catboy, Owlette and Gekko embark on action packed adventures, solving mysteries and learning valuable lessons along the way. Watch out night-time baddies – the PJ Masks are on their way, into the night to save the day.

Curious George – Weekdays 9:00am

Curious George is an animated series based on the popular books by Margret and H.A. Rey, starring Well Ferrell, and directed by Matthew O’Callaghan. Directed by Matthew O’Callaghan. The Man in the Yellow Hat is a gentleman who looks after his pet monkey – an inquisitive and wonderful creature whose enthusiasm often gets the best of him.

 

An Siopa Ealaíne – Wednesdays 3:30pm / Saturdays 9:50am

Perfect for rainy days at home after school.
An Siopa Ealaíne is an innovative series for pre-school children in which Neasa will teach us how to be creative in a fun and playful way. Neasa is an artist who has her own little shop in the heart of a beautiful seaside town. Her friends visit her everyday for creative tips and we will get to know them all while Neasa helps them out with her art classes. It’s all fun and games while at Neasa’s. Come on in and get creative!

 

Cúla4 for Older Children 

Clarence – Weekdays 4:25pm 

Viewers of Cartoon Network will already be familiar with Clarence. Now watch him as Gaeilge. The series revolves around a young boy named Clarence and his two best friends Jeff and Sumo. The show focuses on the daily life of Clarence Wendle, a fun-loving and spirited boy, and his best friends: Jeff, who is the more intellectual type, and Sumo, who often uses drastic measures when solving problems.

 

Adventure Time – Tuesdays & Wednesdays 5:20pm / Saturdays 5:05pm

An American fantasy animated series originally for Cartoon Network.  Twelve- year-old Finn battles evil in the Land of Ooo. Assisted by his magical dog, Jake, Finn roams the Land of Ooo righting wrongs and battling evil. Usually that evil comes in the form of the Ice King, who is in search of a wife. He’s decided he should wed Princess Bubblegum, though she doesn’t want to marry him. Still, he persists in trying to steal her away, and Finn and Jake, along with Lady Raincorn (a cross between a unicorn and a rainbow) do their best to keep her from harm.

 

C.L.U.B – Thursdays 5:05pm

An exciting and fun show about GAA Clubs all over the country and the craic that everyone has playing with them. C.L.U.B is presented by Cárthach Bán Breathnach. Each week he travels to a different GAA club around the county to meet the young players from the club. We are going all over the country from Gaoth Dobhair to Cork and Dublin to Conamara. On every show we’ll see young players out on the pitch and in the studio chatting, practicing new skills, playing games in the studio… AND at the end of every episode one lucky player will get the opportunity to dump the toughest coach from the club into the DUNK TANK!! Finally revenge for all those extra laps at training!
