On the 23rd of November live from London, The Irish Post presents in association with TG4 The 40th Irish Post Awards which brings together both the Irish and the UK’s best in industry, music, television and achievements in the Community awards.

Seven awards will be presented on the night and these include, SIR Bob Geldof who will be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2017 Irish Post Awards in London later this month. The Dublin musician and philanthropist became world famous after staging Live Aid at Wembley Stadium in 1985.
Also honoured will be Karren Brady who will receive this year’s Outstanding Contribution to Business in Britain Award at the 2017 Irish Post Awards. The business woman was born in Edmonton, North London, Baroness Brady is the daughter of self-made Irish millionaire Terry Brady. One of Britain’s most high-profile business women, she began her career in advertising sales straight after leaving school. Starting at Saatchi & Saatchi, she swiftly moved onto LBC as a sales executive before joining David Sullivan’s Sport Newspapers Ltd, becoming a Director within a year. In 1993, aged just 23, she was appointed MD of Birmingham City FC.
Kodaline and Beoga will perform exclusively at the star-studded Awards evening. Having announced news of their third album this summer – the first new music since 2015’s Coming Up For Air, which went gold in the UK – Kodaline will bring their boundless energy and talent to the stage on November 23rd in London.
Previous award-winners have included Terry Wogan, Daniel Day Lewis, Michael Flatley and Doctor Mo Mowlam. The presenters for the night are TG4’s Aoife Ní Thuairisg & Eamonn Holmes .
An estimated global audience of one million is expected for the live show on TV and online via social media channels.
