Caomhnóirí na Talún
NEW - Begins Wednesday 4 September @ 20:30
Across the countryside we’ve seen catastrophic declines of birds, wild bees and native plants. Even once common birds like the skylark and kestrel are now in trouble. The intensification of farming and forestry is seen as one of the most significant contributors to these losses but if biodiversity is to improve that change will happen across Irish farmland.
Ach má tá feabhas le teacht ar an mbithéagsúlacht, is ar thalamh feirme na tíre a tharlóidh sé.

Fathaigh na Farraige
NEW - Wednesday 18 September @ 21:30
Fathaigh na Farraige looks at Ireland’s relationship with the sharks and cetaceans found in Irish waters. From our history of hunting them for food and profit to today’s efforts at conserving their populations. We speak to historians, marine biologists, and ex-hunters, who give us an insight into what drove the whaling industry of the 1900s, and the basking shark industry of the 1950s.
Tugtar léargas sa gclár seo ar an gcaidrimh atá ag muintir na hÉireann le siorcanna agus céiticigh. Ón am go mbítear ag seilg na hainmhithe mara seo go dtí an lá atá inniu ann agus daoine ag iarraidh iad a chaomhnú. Tugann staraithe, bitheolaithe mara, agus iar-sealgairí léargas ar earnáil seilge na míolta móra sna 1900idí agus ar earnáil na liamháin gréine sna 1950idí.
