Ladies Football Final TV Audience Highest in 4 Years

Sunday’s live coverage of the TG4 Ladies’ Football Finals at Croke Park achieved its highest tv audiences in four years. The official Nielsen TAM television audience measure reports that  620,000 people tuned into TG4 at some stage during the finals last Sunday afternoon.

Along with strong viewing for the three finals on Sunday, television viewing on TG4 was up for every stage of this year’s Championships compared to 2010.

In the Senior Final, Cork overcame a strong challenge from Monaghan to win their 6th TG4 Senior title in 7 years.

The two other Ladies finals (Junior and Intermediate)  played in Croke Park last Sunday both ended in draws.  The relays (New York v Wicklow and Cavan v Westmeath) have been scheduled for  Croke Park on Sunday week, 9 October Both replays will be broadcast live on TG4.
