Viewing Figures for GAA Beo

TG4 has reported very satisfactory viewing figures for its weekend coverage of all four Allianz Football League Finals in Croke Park.

  • 500,000 people watched TG4’s coverage of the Division 1 and Division 2 Allianz Football League Finals last Sunday.
  • Division 1 Final peaked at 280,000 viewers. The average viewing over the entire game was 220,000 people. This average figure represents a 20,000 increase on last year’s Division 1 Final viewership.
  • TG4's channel share for the duration of the Division 1 Final was 27%, making TG4 the top channel in Ireland during the match and giving it 3 times the share of the 2nd placed channel.
  • 650,000 in all watched TG4’s coverage of at least some of the 4 Allianz Football League Finals.

TG4 Sports Editor, Rónán Ó Coisdealbha says the weekend's GAA coverage was another milestone for the channel. "Our commitment to providing season-long coverage of the National League competitions has been complimented by GAA fans throughout Ireland," he said "and we are delighted at the increase, year on year, for our two-day live coverage of the Division 1-4 Finals from Croke Park."
